Honestly, you don’t need to read any guide to play this game. It is straightforward and very casual to play. But to give you an optimal way of playing and knowing what you should spend your resources on so that you don’t waste on something that are not important.
Overall Tips
Here are a few tips you should know:
- Always kill as many monsters as possible because they drop resources either soul or parchment.
- Try to set more difficulties to gain more resources.
- Always take advantage of stage element to multiply your damage. It is the second primary source of damage.
- Always claim free daily “Trails”; Enhance, Training, and Treasure. You can skip any trail after you completed it with S rank.
- Always complete daily and weekly missions as they provide additional resources.
- Use Trail Quills to exchange for golds in Treasure Trail because it is only way you can earn decent money and gold is far more important than anything else, you will need a dozen millions of golds. Don’t worry about character levels, you will eventually max them all. While enhancement runes can be farm by repeating the quests.
- Use dispatch to search for parchments. It takes 6 hours to find parchments versus gems 3 hours; don’t worry about gems and Trail Quills.
- Try to complete as many as quests as possible as soon as you have enough power to do it. Because RP (Player Rank Experience Point) can only be earned by completing quests. RP is required to unlock Limit Break. And Limit Break is required to level up your equipment.
Quest Difficulty
There are 9 difficulties you can set to gain some bonuses. But you should NOT check all of them because some of them may cancel each other’s effect.
Oath | Bonus Effects | Note |
---|---|---|
HP Recovery Impossible | Drop rate+20% | |
No MP Auto-Recovery | Soul appearance rate +50% | This is a must check. |
MP Recovery Impossible | Parchment fragment appearance rate +25% | |
2x MP Use | Parchment fragment appearance rate +25% | |
Weapon Skill Use Limit: 1x | Drop rate+20%, completion rewards +1 | This is a must check except mini-boss (chapter 7) and boss stages. |
1/2 Time Limit | RP +25%, XP +25% | This is a must check for early and mid-game. Late game is quite tough though. |
Unable to Continue | Completion reward +1, RP +25%, XP +25% | This is a must check. |
You will die if you take on damage | Soul obtained +1, parchment fragment obtained +1, completion reward +1 | Do not check this unless you know what you are doing. |
Damage dealt decreased. Damage taken increased | RP +25%, XP + 25% | You should check this for early game. Mid and late games are hard though. |
Basically “You will die if you take on damage” give you 2 souls or 2 parchment fragments instead of 1.
You should check these if you are planning to
- farm souls:
- HP Recovery Impossible
- No MP Auto-Recovery
- Weapon Skill Use Limit: 1x
- You will die if you take on damage (if you are strong enough)
- Unable to Continue
- Parchment fragments:
- HP Recovery Impossible
- MP Recovery Impossible
- 2x MP Use
- Weapon Skill Use Limit: 1x
- You will die if you take on damage
- Unable to Continue
Note: never mix between “No MP Auto-Recovery” and “MP Recovery Impossible, 2x MP Use” because they will negate each other’s effect.
Character Tips
- You should prioritize unlocking dash skills first because you need them to reach some areas during quests.
- Alucard: Wing Smash
- Simon: Whip Swing
- Charlotte: Flight
- Maria: Suzaku Jump
- Shanoa: Magnes
- You can perform character skills twice consecutively by holding skill button.
Alucard
- You should unlock Wing Smash, Launch Attack, and Step Attack first.
- You should always set Wing Smash as your character skills.
- Launch Attack: press and hold attack button, it can launch an enemy into the air.
- Step Attack: press attack while dodging to perform Step Attack, it can stun an enemy in 1 or 2 hits.
Simon
- You should unlock Whip Swing, Launch Attack, and Drop Kick first.
- You should always set Whip Swing as your character skills.
- Launch Attack: press and hold attack button, it can launch an enemy into the air.
- Drop Kick: press attack while dodging to perform Step Attack, it can stun an enemy in 1 or 2 hits.
Charlotte
- You should unlock Flight and Charge Shot first. All other skills are kind of useless though.
- Flight: press jump (first or second jump) and hold to fly.
- Charge Shot: press and hold attack button. Charlotte’s normal attack cannot stun enemies, that is why you must Charge Shot. It is very useful against some enemies.
- Shooting up (very useful): while on the ground, holding up and press attack button.
- Shooting down (very useful): while in the air (whether jump or flying), press dash attack button.
Maria
- You should unlock Suzaku Jump and Reduce Fall Speed first.
- Suzaku Jump: to perform Suzaku Jump forward, you have you face her in an opposite direction.
- Genbu Guard: press and hold attack button. Genbu Guard reduce damage taken.
- Reduce Fall Speed: press and hold jump button to reduce fall speed.
Shanoa
- You should unlock Magnes first.
- Magnes: press and hold jump button to perform Magnes, then aim to any direction you would to launch her to.
- Shanoa has 2 types of weapons: scythe and lance. Both provides her with different move set, I generally prefer scythe moves because it has wide area of impact than lance.
Equipment
Try to do Halloween Order as soon as you have enough power because that is where you can get your hand on your first 5-stars weapons. While Winter Order is so much harder Halloween, I suggest that you have over 7000 powers before attempting to grind in there.
Here are what you need to know about the equipment:
- All weapons and armors have their unique element, unique skill, one active perk, and multiple passive perks.
- The active perk can be activated with certain conditions. For example, Alucard Sword “Concentration: ATK Rate Up” requires the sword equipped as main weapon and has MP above 50%.
- Weapons are unique to their users while armors are not. The differences between armors are their element and perks; DEF and HP are almost similar. But some armors are required specific characters to unlock their active perk. For example, Alucard Shield provide 20% attack boost but requires Alucard as user which means that other characters cannot unlock the perk which is kinda useless.
